Hardfacing plate

Caster hardfacing plate is a bimetal plate made from a base plate overlaid with chromium carbide through open arc welding.

The overlaid layer of chromium carbide is the functional hardface for wear resistance applications. For some special use, we can overlay both sides for you.

Features & Benefits：
  1. It's cheaper when you take its long lifespan into consideration.
  2. Best solution for coal, cement, steel, ore e.t.c (can withstand up to 600°C).
  3. Can tolerate moderate impact.
  4. Low maintenance cost and easy installation.
  5. The hairline-like cracks on the surface is nature occurrence of open arc welding. The hairlines will not affect the wear resistance property and long lifespan.


Application Specifications：

  1. Cutting – Plasma burning or water jet.
  2. Welding – Can be welded together.
  3. Bending – Using a press brake, forming should be perpendicular to the weld pass direction. Plate rolling should be performed in the directions of the overlay beads.
